In addition to throwing off the body's homeostasis, excess sugar may result in a number of other significant consequences. The following is a listing of some of sugar's metabolic consequences from a variety of medical journals and other scientific publications.
  1. Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defenses against infectious disease.1,2
  2. Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in your body: causes chromium and copper deficiencies and interferes with absorption of calcium and magnesium. 3,4,5,6
  3. Sugar can cause can cause a rapid rise of adrenaline, hyperactivity, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and crankiness in children.7,8
  4. Sugar can produce a significant rise in total cholesterol, triglycerides and bad cholesterol and a decrease in good cholesterol.9,10,11,12
  5. Sugar causes a loss of tissue elasticity and function.13

...si lo zucchero semplice/raffinato......definito " il cibo del cancro!", purtroppo lo si trova ormai in quasi tutti i cibi " confezionati" solidi e liquidi.....anche l'aspartame assolutamente da evitare....un mio amico naturopata mi ha sempre consigliato di usare il "miele biologico" come dolcificante, infatti anche adesso che sono a dieta lo utilizzo........

Sì ma comunque bisogna distinguere credo,gli amidi cioè gli zuccheri della pasta,pane,riso ecc... dagli zuccheri come saccarosio,fruttosio ecc..

Questo articolo penso parli degli zuccheri aggiunti del cibo spazzatura..

Basti pensare che le GDA dello zucchero sono 90gr al giorno, una bella quantità...

....si io parlavo dello "zucchero bianco", e cmq anche il fruttosio non ci metterei la mano sul fuoco...da un po' di tempo ho eliminato anche quello....

Mi sento di dissentire....non voglio dire che lo zucchero faccia bene, secondo me tutto dipende dalle dosi e dagli abusi, non si puo demonizzare la chimica, oppure bisogna essere coerenti fino in fondo!!Nn si puo evitare lo zucchero come la peste perchè è un prodotto raffinato industriale e poi ingozzarsi di Proteine in polvere creatina aminoaidi vitami e e quan'altro!!è semplicemente un'assurdità.
Per me lo zucchero è un carboidrato semplice glucosio - fruttosio che se mangiato da solo o in quantità alza molto la glicemia, è facile mangiarne tanto e diventarne dipendenti ma un'uso moderato e consapevole non credo faccia nulla:

Ps: Non sono uno che mangia dolce, compro addirittura le proteine neutre ma di sicuro non mi formalizzo se devo mangiare qualcosa che contiene zucchero...

Sono d'accordo con philox.

E poi tutte quelle "controindicazioni" andrebbero lette e valutate nel giusto contesto.... io non credo che a tutti quelli che "mangiano" zucchero poi gli vengono le emorroidi!!! Probabilmente quelle persone che hanno un fattore ereditario sfavorevole, con certe dosi di zuccheri potrebbero peggiorare la situazione, pero' penso sia sempre da valutare.
